Head of Engineering Appointment Helps Strengthen Mackie’s Capabilities

Mackie’s have recruited a new Head of Engineering to take our hard working engineering team to new heights. The appointment will also join senior leadership team and further strengthen Mackie’s commitment to sustainability.

Barry Swan, joins us with a rich and varied array of experience and a strong skillset in technical expertise and leadership. His previous experience in the military, water production, and the food and drink industry has equipped him with the knowledge and insight to drive innovation and efficiency within Mackie’s operations.

Before joining Mackie’s, Swan served in the British Army’s Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME), where he specialized in radar technology. He later transitioned to civilian life, holding senior positions in various industries, including salmon processing, whisky bottling, and water production.
