Recycling our tubs
The use of plastic has been in the news a lot lately - we are committed to protecting our environment and one of our five brand promises we follow as a business is to be environmentally friendly. Our 1, 2 and 5 litre tubs are manufactured using #5 PP (polypropylene) plastic - this plastic is recyclable, however not with all kerbside collections (76% of local authorities now collect plastic tubs). #5 PP is considered safe for reuse and can be washed in the dishwasher...we encourage everyone to reuse Mackie's tubs...they are good for food storage but have been adapted for lots of other uses like plant pots or bird feeders.
